No one is safe from a hack

It seems almost everyday that i read about another giant company being hacked, passwords and valuable data harvested, security compromised, and major financial losses.

The companies we rely on to keep our data safe, those that we assume we can trust with private data, those we assume have the means far beyond ours to defend against cyber attack seem to be just as likely to succumb to a serious attack as anyone. I mean, the CIAs website was just hacked for fun this past week. If they cant get it right – an ultimate symbol of security – who can?

Sony, Cisco and many others in just the last year, big companies taken down. I don’t get it.
